Gothenburg Self Guided Walking Tour Avenyn to Haga Audio Quiz

Overview

Gothenburg was drawn up by Dutch engineers on marshy ground and rebuilt again and again after fires, yet its character was saved by its own citizens. This self-guided walking tour traces that story from the grand cultural square down to the rescued wooden houses of Haga. Everything runs from your phone, and no app is needed. You get a clear map of all 8 stops, directions through Google Maps, and a short audio story with an interactive quiz at each location. The route runs from Carl Milles' Poseidon at Gotaplatsen down the grand Avenyn, past the beloved Copper Mare and the 17th-century Kronhuset to the old Dutch canal, the cathedral, the neo-Gothic Fish Church and finally Haga for a fika among its wooden houses. Start whenever you like, pause as long as you want and set your own pace. No groups, no fixed schedule and no guide to keep up with. Audio and written content are available in 7 languages.
