Located in Gamla Stan or The Old Town, The Royal Palace of Stockholm has more than 1,400 rooms, 11 floors, and only 1 balcony. The Palace is also the largest official Royal residence in Europe, even larger than Buckingham Palace in London. There are many attractions here - the Treasury with the royal regalia, Museum Three Crowns about the castle's medieval history, and not least the Representation floors with the pompous parade rooms. During the summer months, Gustav III's antiquities museum and the Castle Church are also open. The changing of the guards is popular with visitors, as is the Slottsboden shop.
